Hello there

 

Here are some of the errors I have noticed while marking your work. Just read the sentences and correct them...

 

• When I seen the person, I shaked. I don't wanted the man see me.

 

• "How are you ?" I screamed.

 

• Suddenly the man was staring at me during two minutes. I had scare. He looked me. I was scary.  I did'nt knowed what I do.

 

• Then a big noise affraid me. I can't found my way. The zombie grasped my leg.

 

• I thank during one minute.

Here are a few "sounds" you can try to practise. Use Audacity to record yourself

 

TH (tongue under your top front teeth)

- There were  300 people at the ceremony

- This book deals with the murder of a psychopath

- This is a hot air balloon

 

 

H (open you mouth wide and "close" your throat) + link words together to avoid adding extra "h"

- I hate having nothing to do!

- Harry Potter is a hero for many children

- How often is he ill?

- He has all the bad habits of a heroin addict

- There was a heavy atmosphere in the room when he entered

- The book's happy ending was highly predictable!

Hi! This is the blog on which you will be working most of the time during the Media Studies AP.

 

 

1- For the first session I will introduce the goal of the AP and our final project.

 

2- Once that is done, I would like you to watch the following video and answer the questions below.

 

 


 

a- what is the second map describing? What is it supposed to represent? What is she trying to prove?

b- why is there less news about the rest of the world?

c- is it because people are less interested in the world?

d- do you think the same phenomenon happens in France?

 

3- Go to the BBC News website

This is a quick summary of the world News.

How many countries were mentioned? Were they the same as in France?

 

Performance aspect: Which words were said the loudest/the most accentuated? If you make a quick list, it is representative of the theme?

Hi there

 

So today the focus is on intonation, how your voice should rise and fall much more in English than in French. We can still use the news from last time, just go intothe class folder and find the video on Rubik'cube. Listen carefully and try to imitate the intonation. 

On your piece of paper, draw arrows where the voices rises and falls and where the flow stops for a pause. 

The rest is all connected, without pauses.

 

Once you have identified both the accentuation and the intonation, record yourself, using Movie Maker, reading the text you have worked on .
